Tamika Watts tells the story of how she is inspired by her niece to excel at Johnson C. Smith University.  She reveals her lofty goals.


Jockuela Ballard shares her life’s challenges of having a absent, unknown father and a drug-addicted mother. Her loving grandmother had a stroke and could no longer care for her granddaughter and her siblings. Jockuela had no choice but to enter into the foster care program.  Watch her story for the happy ending.

This video highlights 6 children residing in West Charlotte. Comprised of various ages and having various dreams all influenced by media, family, and their surroundings. The purpose of this video is to remind you that you once had a dream and someone helped you get to where you are today so remember to PAY IT FORWARD.
